Over the course of this campaign, I will be listening to the people of Pittsburgh and outlining bold and proactive solutions to move Pittsburgh forward. Solutions and ideas for improving the city’s basic operations, improving safety so that families feel safe in their neighborhoods, increasing economic development in all parts of the city, and modernizing our transportation and schools. And I won’t shy away from tackling the long term challenges of an underfunded pension liability and increasing costs to Pittsburgh government.
I started this campaign talking about a new approach to leadership and a new approach to government. We need new leadership with the courage to make tough decisions, the knowledge to develop bold ideas and creative solutions and the heart to do what’s right for Pittsburgh. That’s been my record as a public servant and that’s why I’m running for mayor.
